There are several ways you can donate to MagiKids.
Make a contribution to MagiKids directly through our website, either as a one-time gift, or a repeating donation. Your tax-deductible donation will be processed using PayPal’s portal. You can use a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover card or your Paypal account to make a donation. A receipt for your donation will be sent to the email you used during checkout.
We appreciate any gift, big or small. All donations help us to continue to operate, and we could not do what we do without your financial support. Thank you.
Where Your Money Goes:
Your monetary donations help support MagiKids in a variety of ways.
Shipping Costs: We ship MagiKits to teachers across the US free of charge.
Educational Materials: We print “learn to play” and other informational resources to assist teachers and students.
Office Space: We lease space to hold staff meetings, host a local MagiKids group, and store a significant number of cards (and other assets).
Advertising and Branding: We maintain a professional appearance by purchasing branded banners, signage, and the like, and occasionally paying for related professional services (photography, etc).
Volunteers: We attend MagicFests and other large events to raise awareness and money for our organization. While we do not pay our volunteers for their time, we do, from time to time, reimburse them for travel expenses, and provide minor benefits such as apparel.
Website Upkeep: We have to pay for hosting, domain names, and website features to keep our website running.
Legal Fees: We consult with legal and tax professionals to maintain our 501(c)(3) status.
MagiKids is a quickly growing organization, with expenses (like shipping) that will only grow as we do. We value your support in helping us achieve Our Mission, and we want to be as open as possible about where money goes.

Would you like to make a donation of other, Magic-related items such as playmats, deckboxes, or similar?
Are you an artist or business that would like to help supply our booth at events with Magic merchandise so we can raise more money at MagicFests, cons, and other events?
We are interested in any sort of donation that we can put to use. Just get in contact with us, and we’ll sort out all the details! All donations to MagiKids are tax-deductible.
Other Donations
We are always willing to accept donations of Magic: The Gathering cards.
You can either do this in-person, or via mail.
To donate cards in person, simply bring the cards you wish to donate to an event we are attending, and you can drop them off at our booth. We are based out of Minnesota and attend most major MTG conventions. If you are unsure if we’re attending an event, check out our social media or send us a message!
If you wish to donate via mail, simply ship the cards to our office. Contact Us so we know to expect them, and so we can get you a receipt.

TAX DEDUCTION INFORMATION
The following information is provided only to give you a brief overview of how tax deductible gifts may work.
Weirdcards provides receipts for any sizable non-cash donations. If you would like a receipt, we will provide you one for the fair market value of your gift. It is your responsibility to determine the fair market value of your gift.
If you plan on donating items with a total value of more than $250, you will need a receipt in order to deduct your contributions.
If your non-cash donation is over $500, you may need to file a form 8283 with your income tax return to deduct your contributions.
For contributions valued at over $5000, there may be appraisal requirements to deduct the donation.
In all circumstances, check with your tax advisors to determine the deductibility of contributions to this organization and all related compliance requirements- MagiKids is making no representations in this regard.
