Teacher Resource Center
The MagiKids Teacher Resource Center is designed to be a collection of resources to help teachers or mentors who are interested in becoming MagiKids teachers, to support existing MagiKids teachers, and to assist anyone else who is trying to teach kids through Magic: The Gathering.
Getting Started With MagiKids
So you think you might be interested in becoming a MagiKids Teacher. What’s the next step?
This page walks you through the process, explaining how to apply for a kit, what your MagiKids kit will contain, and talking about the informational resources available on this site.
Sort, Build, Play
In our local programs, we use our model of Sort, Build, Play to get the kids started learning about Magic: The Gathering. We believe it is an effective strategy to get kids engaging with Magic in a way that deepens learning and encourages them to stick with it for years to come.
We highly recommend that recipients of our MagiKids kits use this curriculum as an easy and effective way to get their groups learning about Magic.
Articles
How are other teachers using the MagiKids program? What hurdles have other teachers encountered with their own groups, and how did they overcome them? What effect does teaching Magic have on kids?
This section is an ever-growing collection of articles written about the MagiKids program, written mostly by those experiencing it first hand- the teachers who are using it to enrich the lives of their MagiKids group. Check it out for real-world perspectives on how the program works.
